NOTE: The following terminology is an abstraction of the anatomical structure of the eye.
For the purposes of the add-on the eye geometry consists of two separate meshes - the eye (body) and the cornea.
The Eye (body) contains the iris and the sclera.
The Cornea is the transparent outer layer that gives the eye model it's shine:
Whenever settings refer to "eye" or "cornea" they refer to either of these two particular meshes.
The Iris is the color region of the eye. It consists of the Ciliary Zone, Pupillary Zone and the Pupil:
The Pupil is the hole in the center of the iris. Anatomically this is where the light enters the eye.
The Ciliary Zone is the outer perimeter region of the iris. (shader settings only)
The Pupillary Zone is the inner region of the iris. (shader settings only)
The Collarette Is the boundary between the ciliary and pupillary zones of the iris. (shader settings only)
The Sclera is the white region of the eye body, surrounding the iris.
The term "superellipse" refers to the adjustable oval shape, used in various places in the eye geometry and shader settings (see more).
For the purposes of the add-on it can be used to create rounded rectangle/square shapes or four-pointed star shapes. It's default state is a circle/ellipse:
