The helper node group, called "Eyebrow Shades" contains useful shades from the Geometry Node tree attributes that can be used in the Shader Editor to aid with the eyebrow material creation:
The "Eyebrow Shades" node contains outputs for both the stylized and realistic eyebrow. The use of these outputs will depend on the type of asset in context.
Outputs from a Stylized Eyebrow model:
Various maps (gradients, UVs, etc.) from the Stylized Eyebrow model:
UV Map - The generated UV map for the eyebrow model
Nominal UV Map - The nominal eyebrow UV mapping, without any packing transformation
Lengthwise Gradient - Main lengthwise gradient, in the direction of the guide curve/mesh line
Widthwise Gradient - Widthwise gradient, in the direction of the eyebrow profile
Cut Map - Gradient towards the eyebrow cut
Thickness Map - Local thickness value for the eyebrow geometry
Eyebrow UV Map
Local Thickness Map
Lengthwise Gradient
Widthwise Gradient
Boolean masks from the Stylized Eyebrow model:
Splits Mask - Selection for the splits faces
Cuts Mask - Selection for the cut side faces
Eyebrow Cuts Map
Ends Fade, using an Alpha map
Contains controllable maps for the ends of the eyebrow. Useful for transparency, to give the ends a faded look.:
Alpha - The ends transparency map
Splits Fade - Splits tips fade amount
Splits Contrast - Splits tips fade map contrast
Tail Fade - Eyebrow tail fade amount
Tail Contrast - Eyebrow tail fade map contrast
Contains controllable mapping that follows the eyebrow expected "hair flow" direction. Useful to map parallel features, like noise, that needs to warp and follow the eyebrow "flow". Also contains a procedural stylized hair/fur texture.:
Mapping - The eyebrow "flow" mapping
Head Angle - Direction angle for the texture flow mapping at the eyebrow head
Tail Angle - Direction angle for the texture flow mapping at the eyebrow tail
Blend Angles - The width of the region that blends between the head/tail angles
Adjust Start - Adjust the starting point of the transition between the head/tail angles. Typically, this starting point is at the end of the Splits region (when splits are enabled). This option allows for the adjustment of that starting point.
Texture Flow Mapping (visualized with a Wave texture)
Procedural Hairs Texture (using the Texture Flow mapping)
Procedural stylized hair/fur texture, mapped to the "Texture Flow" coordinates:
Hairs Texture - Stylized hair/fur texture
Scale - General scale for the hairs texture
Layering - Creates an illusion for two hair layers. Biggest effect at 0.50.
Major Seed - General variation for the hairs texture
Distortion
Contains settings for creating a distortion in the hairs texture, using a noise texture:
Distortion Strength - Strength of the distortion effect
Distortion Seed - Variations in the distortion noise
Distortion Scale - General scale for the distortion noise
Distortion Detail - Creates a second level of distortion, using another noise octave
Distortion Detail Scale - Scale for the second noise octave
Width
Contains settings for the width of the hair strands in the texture:
Width Scale - Scale for the width of the hairs. Higher values create thinner hair strands.
Width Randomize - Creates variations in the with of different hairs
Width Seed - Variations for the hairs width
Outputs from a Stylized Eyebrow model:
Various maps for the whole eyebrow shape:
Lengthwise Gradient - Main lengthwise gradient, in the direction of the guide curve/mesh line
Widthwise Gradient - Widthwise gradient, in the direction perpendicular to the guide curve/mesh line
Eyebrow Width Map - Local width value for the eyebrow shape
Eyebrow Lengthwise Gradient
Eyebrow Widthwise Gradient
Various maps for the individual eyebrow hairs:
Hairs UV Map - The generated UV map for the eyebrow hairs
Hairs Gradient - Lengthwise gradient for each hair strand
Hairs Thickness - Thickness value for each hair strand
Random per Strand - Random grayscale value for each eyebrow hair strand. Can be controlled with the Seed and Contrast settings
Random Seed - Variations for the Random per Strand value
Random Contrast - Contrast for the Random per Strand value
Hairs UV Map
Hairs Gradient
Contains controllable maps for the ends of the eyebrow hairs. Useful for transparency, to give the ends a faded look.:
Alpha - The ends transparency map
Roots Fade - Hairs roots fade amount
Roots Contrast - Hairs roots fade map contrast
Tips Fade - Hairs tips fade amount
Tips Contrast - Hairs tips fade map contrast
Random value per hair strand
Hairs Ends Fade, using an Alpha map
